The time is now...to educate, share ideas, communicate with each other, and have fun, while accomplishing our DAR goals.
STATE REGENT’S PROJECT:
Aid the DAR Schools through the following projects:
Kate Duncan Smith DAR School – The Marshall County Board of Education has received an interest free federal loan for the construction of a 10-classroom building adjacent to the Burkey Center. The KDS Board of Trustees agreed to raise the funds that this grant does not cover. To do this, KDS decided to offer classrooms for individuals and states to sponsor. The Georgia State Society will be a sponsor of one of the new classrooms.
Tamassee DAR School – continued support of the Talmadge Gymnasium
Berry College – awarding of the Georgia State Society Daughters of the American Revolution Student Teaching Award for Community Service, and a Story Board, “Berry College, the Bridge from Martha Berry to the DAR”
MEADOW GARDEN – continued support through education and events, with the membership and general public; raise funds to install a wrought iron security fence around the property. Susan Jackson, House Manager, would love to assist you setting up a visit to Meadow Garden. Call to schedule a tour. 706-724-4174
